Cool Earth Copier Paper, exclusively available from Office Club, has been shortlisted in the Marketing Initiative category at the 2017 European Office Products Awards – Winners to be announced at the annual EOPA presentation dinner on 8th March in Amsterdam.

Cool Earth PaperOffice Club CEO Toby Robins is delighted with the recognition and explained the story behind the unique paper product: “The decision was taken to re-brand our own brand 80gsm paper, emphasising the sustainability credentials, and putting an affinity marketing agreement in place with Cool Earth, an established, innovative, award-winning charity that works alongside indigenous villages to halt rainforest destruction; giving them the resources needed to keep their forest intact.  It is an approach that research proves to be the most effective way of keeping rainforest standing.”

To ensure the credibility of the product and that it will withstand the scrutiny and potential due diligence by procurement and sustainability professionals, Office Club called upon the expertise of a member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment and the Global Association of Corporate Sustainability Officers. A mill was then selected which uses certified sustainable forestry, a biomass-power and which is located close to the target marketplace to reduce transport emissions. With a unique branding message shouting from the wrap, Office Club’s Cool Earth Paper, the paper that saves trees, was born.

“Since launching the rebrand with a complete set of on and offline marketing tools for dealers, our daily sales of Cool Earth Paper through Antalis have increased by over 30% compared to the previous Office Club branded paper” continued Toby “This is fantastic news as it demonstrates that there is still very much a demand from consumers to select a product based on sustainable credentials, not just price, and enables our members to differentiate themselves from competitors in this particular field.”
