New Stationery Store Proving a Hit!

At a time when retail closures seem to be a regular news item, a year ago Richard Dorman of Biz+ refused to be deterred and took the brave step of opening a new stationery superstore at an out of town retail park in Gloucester. The outcome has been a resounding success with a 50% sales growth since October.

Richard Dorman, who has been working with dealer group Office Club and it’s Approved Suppliers, commented: “We wanted to create an easily accessible superstore environment that provides great value stationery for the home and office. It was tough at the beginning, being on a retail park out of town we needed to raise awareness of our existence – We have now cleared that hurdle with customers discovering where we are and by keeping an eye on the marketplace sales are still increasing steadily from month to month. There is no doubt we are getting better at what we do, and we are always looking to expand our product range.”

Merchandising Manager for Office Club, Allison Fishlock, commented: “The remarkable sales growth for Biz+ in recent months is encouraging for everyone and is a fantastic example of what can be achieved with hard work and good practice when it comes to marketing, point of sale and product placement – There is no doubt that the success of Biz+ is going to continue, and that is a trend we are delighted to start seeing with more and more of our Members”

2014 Conference announced

Office Club has announced that it’s 2014 Annual Conference will take place at the £26 million refurbished The Belfry Hotel, Birmingham, on the weekend of 6-8th June.

Merchandising Manager, Allison Fishlock announced: “We are delighted to be returning to The Belfy in Birmingham for our 22nd Annual Conference. The venue has gone through a £26 million refurbishment since our last visit, making it the ideal venue to host our showpiece business, networking and leisure event for all Office Club stakeholders. Over the course of the weekend our Members and Suppliers will have the chance to network in a relaxed social or sporting environment, as well as countless opportunities to ‘talk shop’ in more business-like surroundings at the popular exhibition; or one of the many retail and commercial specific seminars.”
